On Wednesday 15th February 2017, India launched 104 satellites into the space with the course of 18 minutes. This was done using a single rocket.
This created a record by the ISRO(Indian Space Research Organization). Previously this record was holded by Russia of launching 37 satellites.
Launching 104 satellites in one go was a risk as the satellites were released in a rapid fire manner after every few seconds from a single rocket. The satellites were travelling with the speed of 17000 miles per hour and could collided if ejected wrongly.
Before launching several months were taken to study how these 104 satellites can be launched with single rocket.
